Building upon the resounding success of our previous summit, we are thrilled to announce the return of ACI’s European Carbon Black Summit 2024 is returning over the 19th & 20th June 2024, in the beautiful city of Amsterdam.
Anticipated growth in Carbon Black (CB) demand poses a significant challenge, particularly in light of the disruptions caused by the conflict in Ukraine, resulting in a considerable shortage of virgin carbon black. Experts in the field suggest that the shortage reaches as high as 40% compared to pre-war years. The primary focus of this summit is to tackle these critical issues. Key topics on the agenda include an overview of the CB market, strategies for enhancing sustainability within the industry, achieving excellence in the supply chain, and addressing other pertinent concerns. Special attention will be directed towards refining standardization in recovered CB and addressing challenges in assessing the lifecycle of tires.
Evidently, the European CB industry is confronting substantial challenges in both virgin and recovered carbon black production. Substantial resources in terms of energy and time will be directed towards adapting to this new landscape, a crucial step for the industry to continue advancing while meeting the needs of end-users.
This two-day event aims to bring together senior representatives from various stakeholders in the sector, encompassing producers, technology developers, rubber manufacturers, chemical suppliers, researchers, and other influential figures within the value chain.
We invite you to join us at ACI’s European Carbon Black Summit 2024 to explore the pivotal subjects and receive updates on the latest developments in essential areas of the carbon black industry. Your participation will contribute to insightful discussions and solutions for the challenges ahead.
