Building on the success of our 2024 edition which brought over 140 senior level attendees to Hamburg, ACI are delighted to bring the conference to the vibrant city of Frankfurt in 2025. The 6th edition of the European E-Fuels Conference will take place on the 5th and 6th of November 2025, in Frankfurt, Germany.
The 2025 edition of the conference will once again bring together key industry stakeholders from the renewables, fuels, energy and oil & gas industries. Attendees will be drawn from e-fuel producers, aviation and maritime companies, car manufacturers, electrolyser manufacturers and technology providers, consultants and policymakers.
Senior-level speakers will present on technical aspects of the market and talk on the latest challenges and opportunities that are affecting the industry. They will discuss topics requested by industry experts, including areas such as the impacts of RED III, e-fuels in the aviation, maritime and automotive sectors, e-fuel production costs, and the latest technological advances.
Join the event at the heart of the European E-Fuel industry to meet the producers and offtakers driving E-Fuels forwards; network with professionals looking to do business, and learn how E-Fuels are becoming a vital part of the move to net-zero.

On the afternoon of the 4th of November, attendees of the European E-Fuels Conference will have the opportunity to attend the newly opened INERATEC Pioneer Plant in Frankfurt, Germany. The facility will be the world’s largest power-to-liquid plant, recycling up to 8000 tons of CO2 and producing up to 3.5 million litres of e-fuels per year. The Pioneer plant is an important milestone for INERATEC in their journey to massively increase global e-fuels production.
About INERATEC Pioneer Plant…
A fossil-free future – this is the vision INERATEC is pursuing with its pioneering project in Frankfurt, where it is building the world’s largest power-to-liquid plant for the production of synthetic, climate-friendly e-fuels. The plant will serve as a benchmark for global projects and accelerate the transition away from fossil fuels. It consists of three production units. The first was installed in the first half of 2024, the second unit followed in the second half of 2024. The final module is in the delivery and installation process while the first two units are undergoing testing to get ready for commissioning.
Starting in Q2 2025, the pioneering plant at industrial park Frankfurt Höchst will recycle up to 8,000 tonnes of CO2 per year by combining the greenhouse gas with hydrogen to produce up to 2,500 tonnes of sustainable e-fuels and chemicals. At this commercial scale, it will be the world’s largest e-fuel plant using the power-to-liquid process. This represents an important step towards the defossilisation of our future mobility.
The transition from fossil fuels to sustainable and environmentally friendly alternatives is particularly difficult for some sectors. That is why INERATEC focuses on the defossilising sectors of shipping, aviation and heavy-duty transport, where electrification is not a practical solution. For these sectors we supply sustainable aviation fuel (e-SAF) and synthetic diesel, reducing their CO2 emissions and negative environmental impact. This transformation is not limited to Germany. INERATEC is already pursuing international projects in Chile, Brazil, Japan, Malaysia and the Netherlands to achieve global availability of sustainable e-fuels. INERATEC’s modular approach makes the systems scalable and modularly expandable. This will enable e-fuel plants to be located in global ‘sweet spots’ rich in renewable energy, from where the sustainable fuels can be transported worldwide.
Axens Group provides a complete range of solutions for the conversion of oil and biomass to cleaner fuels, the production and purification of major petrochemical intermediates, the chemical recycling of plastics, all natural gas treatment and conversion options along with water treatment and carbon capture.

Shell Catalysts & Technologies exists to provide Shell and non-Shell businesses with the tools, technologies and insights that are needed to navigate the energy transition.
We are pushing boundaries in the energy transition space. For decades, we have been developing game-changing technological innovations to help solve challenges that were previously thought to be unsolvable. Now we have, or are developing, a wide range of differentiated solutions that offer attractive decarbonisation opportunities, including biofuels, carbon capture and decarbonised (blue) hydrogen technologies.
What sets us apart is the knowledge we have gained from Shell’s corporate heritage as the operator of refineries and petrochemical plants around the world. It also gives us a unique perspective on how refiners can remain competitive as, for example, demand for transport fuel declines.
Our world-class catalyst and research and development expertise has enabled us to establish an enviable track record for developing leading-edge zeolites and catalysts, advanced solvents and pioneering processes, and provides a strong foundation for our future technology development.
Highly complex business and technological challenges lie ahead for the sector. But, with ingenuity, technical prowess and – crucially – collaboration, we can overcome them: Together, we can shape the energy landscape.
