European Environmental Ports Conference 2022
Back for its 4th edition, European Environmental Ports Conference 2022 will be taking place on the 3rd & 4th May in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. The event will bring together senior representatives from the global port community and shipping companies, as well as environmental policy-makers, academic experts, consultants, and technology providers, to tackle the most pressing topics of the maritime industry.
European Environmental Ports Conference 2022 will provide informative presentations on the very latest challenges, solutions and developments in reducing emissions, pollution and energy consumption, as well as discussing the possibilities of industrial collaboration and a more sustainable future

BLOK Container Systems is a British company manufacturing in UK and China whose mission is to improve the productivity of container terminals.
The company enables terminals to improve crane productivity through multiple container handling, mechanised twistlocking and faster distribution of containers. It does this through the use of one or more of its standalone products.
BLOK Spreaders facilitate lifting two empty containers side by side, Horizontal Tandem Lifting (HTL) or four containers in two columns of Vertical Tandem Lift (VTL).
BLOK Cert is a patent applied for system for certifying that a pair of empty containers together with their four SAT twistlocks can be safely lifted in Vertical Tandem Lift (VTL) by STS cranes.
BLOK Rigs are semi-automatic twistlocking machines for safer and quicker fitting and removal of SATs and FATs from laden and empty containers.
BLOK Trailers are double width Trailers which allow a single tug tractor to transport 4 teu of laden containers or 8 teu of empties for faster transfer of containers around the quayside.
Faster turnaround of vessels in port has many advantages including fuel saving and emissions reduction on the quayside and at sea through the efficient maintenance of vessel schedules.
Kawasaki Gas Turbine Europe GmbH supplies and services Gas Turbine Generator Sets, preferably for high efficient Combined Heat and Power Systems with a single package power of 1,8 MWel up to 34 MWel. By using the key component Gas Turbine from Japan production the units are packaged in Germany respecting European/German norms and standards. We can deliver an extended scope of supply e.g. including Gas Booster, Steam- or Hot Water Boiler, Middle- and Low Voltage distribution, Transformers etc. Kawasaki is pushing the Hydrogen fuel use for our 1,8 MWel Gas Turbine as well, which is the only industrial Gas Turbine which can run with 100% Hydrogen right now. Further we build up marketing and related product support for the high efficient KAWASAKI Gas Engines KG-12 and KG-18 with 5,2 MWel and 7,8 MWel. These reciprocating engines demonstrate an efficiency of 50% at the generator terminals. Being a 100% daughter company of KAWASAKI HEAVY INDUSTRIES of Japan we have an operation in Bad Homburg/Germany with +/- 70 employees in Sales, Design, Packaging, Project Engineering and Maintenance.

These have been exceptionally challenging times with very fast-moving updates. As we get closer to an event we look at each one individually, paying careful heed to local regulations, but without ignoring the international situation. Whatever happens, ACI will safeguard the investments that attendees have made by either automatically moving it to the new dates of the event or a full credit will be provided for use when booking a future ACI event.
