10th Maritime Salvage & Casualty Response

Date: 11th September 2019 - 12th September 2019 Location: London - UK

10th Maritime Salvage & Casualty Response Conference

Recent “Grande America” and “Viking Sky” incidents have highlighted the vital role of the salvage industry in making deep seas a safer place for maritime navigation and the importance of salvage experts being both well prepared and readily available to deal with incidents in extremely challenging conditions.

With professional and timely responses, both incidents recorded only minor injuries and no fatalities, but they have added to the growing number of incidents which need to be studied and analyzed to know how to deal with similar cases in the future most effectively.

This is why we are delighted to host 10th Maritime Salvage & Casualty Response Conference will be taking place on 11th & 12th September 2019 in London.

The two day conference will once again bring together senior executives and experts from salvage companies, technology providers, P&I Clubs, law firms and global regulators to discuss the latest challenges and developments making an impact on the industry.

The focus of the program will be on the issues of greatest significance to risk managers and other insurance buyers, but it will also be highly relevant and important to casualty professionals throughout the insurance and reinsurance markets. This year we will be taking an in-depth look into two themes: preventive actions to reduce fires on container ships and specifically on offshore oil & gas decommissioning projects.

Conference Topics Include:

  • Consolidated Salvage: Are joint ventures solutions and the way forward?
  • Examining LOF future: LOF2 & LOF “light”
  • Addressing the firefighting needs of container ships
  • The Hidden Hazards – the expert’s role in container ship fires
  • Mega container ships and general average
  • Container loss & major salvage operations
  • P&I clubs perspective: examining risk in the salvage industry
  • Nairobi Wreck Removal Convention: latest updates
  • Salvage & environment: Benefits and risks
  • Future trends in the world of salvage & wreck removal
  • A Flag State’s obligation in a casualty situation
  • Decommissioning & wreck removal

Join us in London this September 2019 for a highly interactive & informative conference, whilst enjoying the networking opportunities with your peers.
