Base Oils & Lubes Connect Future Star 2022 Award Winner Announcement

We would again like to thank everybody who submitted nominations for the Base Oils & Lubes Connect inaugural Women in Focus Award, Future Star 2022. Over the past two weeks we have reviewed many excellent candidates from both academia and industry across multiple continents and ultimately based our decision on who we felt best embodied the spirit of this award.

We are, therefore, delighted to announce the winner of Base Oil & Lubes Connect’s Future Star 2022 Award as Jannat Ahmed. Jannat is a fourth year PhD student in Mechanical Engineering at Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, USA. She definitely shows very exciting promise for the future both in the completion of her studies and subsequently in her professional career. Professor Q. Jane Wang, Executive Director of Center for Surface Engineering and Tribology at Northwestern describes Jannat as a visionary. In addition to this, Jannat is also the Research Group Leader, taking responsibilities of group event organizations and communications.
