Fuels Europe Joining as a Speaker

ACI is excited to announce that John Cooper, Director General of Fuels Europe will be joining us as a speaker during our European Fuels Markets & Refining Strategy Conference, taking place on 27th & 28th of March 2019 in Frankfurt, Germany.

Join us at Keynote Presentation entitled “Vision 2050: A Pathway for the Evolution of the Refining Industry and Liquid Fuels” to hear from John Cooper, Director General, Fuels Europe, discussing:

• It may be true that there is no silver bullet technology that can replace petroleum, but actually there are many technologies that can be used together to produce hydrocarbon fuels that are much lower in carbon intensity.
• The refinery of the future can be a hub for these technologies, and also for collaboration with other industries in lower carbon technologies.
• Through this strategy the refining and fuels industry can offer long term solutions to the big user groups of petroleum products, who are seeking answers to the decarbonisation challenge.

Site Visit: MiRO Refinery, Karlsruhe – 26th of March 2019

In addition to the 2 day conference, on 26th of March a limited number of conference attendees will receive a unique opportunity to visit MiRO Refinery, located in Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg which is the largest oil refinery in Germany and one of the most advanced and powerful in Europe. There is no extra charge to attend the site visit, but spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come – first served basis.
