ACI’s Pharma Cold Chain Summit 2018

Date: 23rd May 2018 - 24th May 2018 Location: London - UK

ACI’s Pharma Cold Chain Summit 2018  will be taking place on the 23rd & 24th May in London, UK. The two day event will bring together leading experts and stakeholders from across the sector for two days of engaging presentations and interactive discussions. The core challenges and critical issues will be tackled to maintain a robust Cold Chain Management across the  Global Pharmaceutical Supply Chain.

Cold chains are common in the food and pharmaceutical industries and also in some chemical shipments. One common temperature range for a cold chain in pharmaceutical industries is 2 to 8 °C (36 to 46 °F). but the specific temperature (and time at temperature) tolerances depend on the actual product being shipped. Unique to fresh produce cargoes, the cold chain requires to additionally maintain product specific environment parameters[1] which include air quality levels (carbon dioxide, oxygen, humidity and others), which makes this the most complicated cold chain to operate. This is important in the supply of vaccines to distant clinics in hot climates served by poorly developed transport networks.

Join us for a balanced programme of practical, commercial, case-study-based discussions, and to meet industry thought leaders and senior-level decision-makers in an informal environment ideal for sharing ideas and making new contacts.

Key Discussions will cover:

  • Latest technologies and methodologies across the Global Cold Chain Distribution
  • Regulators on Good Distribution Practice (GDP) updates to ensure compliance
  • Quality Management
  • Risk Assessment Factors
  • Temperature Monitoring: Dealing with Environmental instabilities
  • Insights into emerging markets for cold chain distribution
  • Data Monitoring and control over the logistics chains
  • Real-Time temperature surveillance and monitoring
  • Air freight vs Ocean Freight
  • New supply chain products and innovative ideas
  • Best practices to overcome ambient temperature control challenges and narrow product temperature
  • Temperature excursion during shipment chain
  • Key algorithms to support cold chain distribution
  • Optimising End-to-End supply chain planning
