Del Paso Country Club was designed to host a true major and after 99 years, it finally gets the chance. Designed in 1916 by Scotsman and golf professional John Black, the course at Del Paso Country Club was overhauled by architect Kyle Phillips and in 2006 it reopened ready for the next chapter in its storied history. The pristine rye-grass fairways and meticulously groomed bent-grass greens frame an incredible 7,100 yard course that will offer fantastic viewing opportunities for the first ever US Senior Open Championship to be played here.
A little history: The US Senior Open Championship first began in 1980 due to a notable increase in senior golf play. Since then, it has thrived and grown into one of the most revered and exciting tournaments in the world, whose winner automatically gains entry into the following season’s U.S. Open. Numerous golf legends including Arnold Palmer, Billy Casper and Jack Nicklaus have all taken the U.S. Senior Open title in the past and the 2015 tournament at Del Paso Country Club is gearing up to be one of the best ever as Vijay Singh and Davis Love III will both be playing in this incredibly challenging and viewer friendly tournament.
At ISM we know how important the special touches are when building relationships with your clients, which is why we’re delighted to offer hospitality at an offsite venue located conveniently near the course, which will deliver maximum impact and enjoyment.
