2020 U.S. Open’s Winner Came Away With Records

The U.S. Open has a 1st time Major Winner for the 2nd year in a row. Congratulations to golf’s mad scientist, Bryson DeChambeau, as he was the only player at Winged Foot to finish under par winning by an astonishing 6 strokes to the runner up Matthew Wolff who led coming into Sunday but ended with an 8-stroke daily differential to the eventual champion. An even more amazing set of U.S. Open facts include the highest ever average driving distance (325.6 yards) along with the fewest fairways hit (41.4%) and the second most eagles ever (2 – Tiger had 3 in his 2008 Torrey Pines victory) by a U.S. Open Champion since hole-by-hole data began being recorded in 1983. We can’t wait to see who challenges at Torrey Pines next June!
