2016 NCAA Basketball Championship

After a thrilling 2 weeks of NCAA Tournament action (including at least 1 team seeded 9-15 winning at least 1 game, only the 3^rd time that has ever happened in tournament history), the Final Four stage was set with North Carolina, Oklahoma, Syracuse and Villanova advancing to NRG Stadium as Houston played host to the final weekend of games for the 2^nd time in the last 6 years.  Both the Tar Heels and the Wildcats won their National Semifinal games with ease, and moved on to Monday Night and the National Championship game.

In one of the greatest finishes in all of sports championship history, Villanova junior Chris Jenkins knocked down a 24-foot jumper at the final buzzer to break a tie-game and give ‘Nova their second-ever National Championship!   Ryan Arcidiacono was named the Final Four Most Outstanding Player, and Jay Wright joined Hall of Fame Coach (and frequent ISM Guest Speaker) Rollie Massimino as the only 2 coaches to lead the Wildcats to the title.
