2011 Mens Collegiate Basketball Championship

2011 marks the 72nd anniversary of the Men’s Collegiate Basketball Championship. In 1939, the Oregon Ducks (known as the “Tall Firs”) beat the Ohio State Buckeyes in the first ever Championship, hosted by Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. Thus was born the love affair Americans have with college basketball that begins anew each March. The Tournament starts with the 65 best teams in the land and is whittled to the final four who battle to be crowned Champion.
