Churchill Downs Announces the 2020 Kentucky Derby Will Be Ran With Fans

Update: As of August 21, 2020, Churchill Downs has decided to not run the 146th Kentucky Derby with fans.

Churchill Downs Racetrack has announced today that they will limit the attendance of the 146th running of the Kentucky Derby to less than 23,000. Thankfully our guests will be some of the lucky ones who get to attend in-person on race day! The attendance limit is in due diligence to increase the social distancing of all participants and Churchill Downs has released its 62-page health and safety operations plan to ensure spectators’ and athletes’ health and safety.

Prior to entering, attendees will undergo temperature checks, medical questionnaires, as well as physical distancing, and mandatory face coverings will be required. Read more at the Kentucky Derby website to review all the rules prior to race day.

We are honored to be a part of the select group eligible to attend the 146th running of the Kentucky Derby on September 5. Although there will be less in attendance, we feel that this will just enhance the experience for our guests as they will get to enjoy the race in a more intimate environment.
