ISM Welcomes Joe Lunardi as 2019 NCAA East Regional Guest Speaker!

Joe Lunardi

We are excited to announce Joe Lunardi as our guest speaker for the 2019 NCAA Basketball Tournament East Regionals in Washington, D.C.!

Joe Lunardi has completed 29 seasons on the Saint Joseph’s Sports Network (SJSN) as color analyst and is the long-time host of “HawkTalk” on both on radio and television. He covered his 1,000th Saint Joseph’s men’s basketball game in 2016 and is believed to have seen more Hawks’ contests than anyone in the history of the University.

Last year, Lunardi took on a new role as director of marketing and broadcast services for the SJU Department of Athletics. This followed more than three decades as the University’s senior communications and marketing professional.

A 1982 Saint Joseph’s graduate, Lunardi returned to his alma mater in 1987 as director of media relations. He later served as director of external relations, director of university communications, assistant vice president for marketing communications, and finally vice president for marketing and communications.

Away from the University, Lunardi is the nationally-known Bracketologist for ESPN productions and ESPN.com. His ESPN.com bracketology site generates over 30 million hits per season. Last year, the word “Bracketology” was officially added to the Oxford English Dictionary.

In 1995 and 2004, Lunardi received the William J. Bennett Award for dedication and loyalty to the SJU men’s basketball program. Lunardi and his wife, Pam, a 1984 SJU graduate, reside in Drexel Hill, Pa., and have two daughters, Emily and Elizabeth.

ISM is thrilled that Joe will be sharing his knowledge and insight with ISM guests in Washington, D.C.!
