#ISM Supports – Milwaukee More Than Pink Walk!

On Sunday, September 23rd, 2018, staff from our ISM Milwaukee Office joined more than 50 teams and 1,300 participants for the Southeast Wisconsin More Than Pink Walk! The event replaces the previous Race for the Cure event, and Milwaukee is one of eight nationwide locations to pilot the new format. Throughout the fundraising for the walk, the organization raised over $490,000 for their various initiatives!

Most people know that the Susan G. Komen organization is an advocate for breast cancer research and awareness, but there are four pillars where they focus their energy. Research – with a goal to help reduce the current number of breast cancer deaths by 50% in the U.S. by 2026. Care – to advocate care for those living with a diagnosis. Community – to save lives through work with the community via education. Action – to take bold action against breast cancer and create a world without breast cancer. The More Than Pink Walk highlights all four of these pillars, and helps them meet their goals while giving communities a chance to step it up and come together!

The ISM Milwaukee Team had a great time at the 2-mile walk, and the day could not have been more beautiful! We are happy to have participated and contributed to this great event!
