Francesco Molinari scorched his competition last weekend at the 2018 Quicken Loans National, with an eight-stroke win over Ryan Armor. This huge victory ties the largest PGA win margins this year, set by Dustin Johnson, and marks Molinari’s first PGA Tour victory. It’s also the first PGA Tour win for an Italian golfer since Tony Penna in 1947. He made it look way too easy to perform so well!
Woods also had what was arguably his best showing all season, finishing T4, after switching to a new mallet putter. While it didn’t solve all the problems with his short game (he still missed 13 putts inside 10 feet), Tiger is optimistic about the change. “It felt good to start my ball on the lines again. I’m starting to see it, starting to feel it, and I had the pace pretty much good all week.”
