CHICAGO, IL: ISM is proud to announce Coach Rollie Massimino as our NCAA Tournament Guest Speaker in Denver on March 17th! Coach Massimino knows college basketball better than anyone in America. He has held coaching positions for over 40 years in storied programs including Stony Brook, UNLV, Penn, Villanova (’85 National Championship Winner), and most recently Keiser University (formerly Northwood) in Florida, a program he took over from scratch less than 10 years ago and led to the NAIA Championship Game in 2011. Coach Mass is currently competing in the NAIA Tournament again.

His famous mantra is “Enthusiasm is Contagious!” From that he has led his team with his “Family Style” approach to coaching which resulted in one of the biggest upsets IN NCAA history when his Villanova Wildcats beat favorite and Patrick Ewing-led Georgetown in the 1985 Championship Game. Shooting a staggering 78.6%, they beat the Hoyas by two points in one of the most exciting games ever played. Coach Massimino is on a very short list of coaches with over 700 wins and continues to teach young minds how to be successful in both the game of basketball and in life.

In 1985 Coach was dubbed National Coach of the Year by multiple magazines. 2011 saw him named NAIA National Coach of the Year and in 2012 he earned Rawlings National Coach of the Year.  With degrees from the University of Vermont and from Rutgers Coach Massimino laid the foundation for a great life. He and his wife Mary Jane have five children and 16 grandchildren and currently reside in Florida.
