2015 PGA Championship

For the 3rd time in 11 years, professional golf’s final Major Championship of the year was played at Whistling Straits Golf Club right outside Sheboygan, WI.  This links hybrid-style course, sandwiched between traditional Wisconsin farm fields and the banks of Lake Michigan, has previously hosted the 2004 (Vijay Singh) and 2010 (Martin Kaymer) PGA Championships, along with the 2007 U.S. Senior Open.  The 2015 edition of the PGA at the “Straits Course” proved to be just as special as previous tournaments as Jason Day became the first player in major championship history to finish at 20 under par, setting a new Major scoring record (to par) and winning a very emotional first Major Championship for the already-successful Australian.  Searing temperatures (low-mid 90s) and a very difficult course to navigate for spectators did not keep people away, as new attendance records were set with general spectators and ISM clients & guests alike flocking to witness golf’s best take on one of the best golf courses in the world.
