2015 Final Four

After 2 weeks of NCAA tournament action that included many close games, buzzer-beaters and shining moments, there were 4 teams that were able to navigate through the madness and punch their ticket to the Final Four in Indianapolis. In the first National Semifinal game, a rematch from last season’s Final Four provided a different outcome this time, as the young, undefeated and heavily-favored Kentucky team suffered their first and only defeat of the season at the hands of a veteran Wisconsin squad. The Badgers, who were #1 seed from the West Region, would advance to the National Championship game to play another #1 seed, this time being against a rolling Duke team who pulled away from Michigan State in the 2nd half to win the other semifinal game handily.

In Monday’s National Championship game, a back-and-forth first half lead to a tie score at halftime.  In the 2nd half, after an early Wisconsin run, the young Blue Devils would come back and defeat the Badgers 68-63 to claim the school’s 5th National Championship trophy.
