National Conference on Microgrids

Date: 30th March 2022 - 31st March 2022 Location: Boston - Massachusetts - USA

Microgrids are rapidly becoming more popular across the USA. Not only have they provided a source of reliable backup power in emergency situations, they are helping reduce costs as well as damage to the environment through renewable energy.

The discussions this year will address these new revelations happening in the industry and provide answers to help microgrid owners and utility companies grow even further and even into new avenues such as electric vehicles and power trading.

ACI’s 10th National Conference on Microgrids will be taking place in Boston, USA on the the 30th & 31st March of 2022. The two day event will consist of a number of informative presentations followed by interactive Q&A sessions and panel discussions, bringing together key industry stakeholders including utility companies, microgrid owners, project developers, energy technology providers, renewable energy providers, relevant consultants, associations and governmental bodies.

Featuring an Exclusive Tour of the Sterling Municipal Light Department’s Award-Winning Microgrid

In addition to the main two day event, during the afternoon of Tuesday 29th March 2022 a limited number of conference delegates will receive a unique opportunity to visit Sterling Municipal Light Department’s Innovative Microgrid Facility.

There is no extra charge to join the site visit, but spaces are strictly limited and allocated to conference delegates on a first-come, first-served basis, so it is highly recommended to book early to guarantee availability.

Join us in Boston to exchange your point of view with your peers and engage in excellent networking opportunities.

Delta Star, Inc. (DSI) is the premier manufacture of North American power transformers and mobile transformer substations (MTS), supported by full-service Field Service operations. With over 100 years of experience, DSI’s commitment to excellence results in the industry’s lowest failure rates and longest asset lifecycles. Our team of experts design and manufacture high quality transformer solutions (ISO 9001: 2015 certified), applying state-of-the-art technology to optimize efficiencies. Our MTS’s are tested in-house prior to deployment, and backed by end-user training and constant customer support. DSI is the sole US-based independent transformer manufacturer. Notably, DSI is the preeminent producer – and only US entity in continuous operation – of MTS’s in North America, resulting in unrivaled market share (via US Dept. of Energy). Utilities depend on MTS’s for rapid restoration of mission-critical capabilities, a cost-effective measure for unprecedented energy resilience, to bring the local grid back online in hours (as compared to days or weeks with traditional systems). When combined with mobile generation assets, MTS’s create expeditionary, transmission-level microgrids (4 – 100 MW) for black start scenarios. DSI’s “Buy-American”-designation offers unique opportunities for critical infrastructure projects. We also enjoy the distinction of being the only transformer manufacturer Corporate Fellow for the National Governors Association.

  • This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.

At the event we strive not only to bring you to the same location at the same time as your customers/suppliers/peers, we strive to ensure you meet face-to-face with each and every one of your target contacts and to provide you with the time you need to have multiple unhurried conversations with them and build a lasting business relationship:

• A pre-event informal introduction the evening before the conference
• A minimum of five hours’ networking built into the two day conference agenda
• A networking grid which enables you to make your target contacts aware you are looking for them
• The option to join either social drinks or dinner during the evening of Day One
• ACI’s on-site team will assist you in locating your hard-to-find target contacts & make face-to-face introductions

Of course, if there is anybody you are unable to meet over the two days, ACI’s event team will do their best to initiate contact after the event.

ACI is doing everything to ensure that all its events go ahead as advertised, returning to the much-missed and valuable face-to-face interaction as soon as possible.  In order to ensure the events are delivered as safely as possible, venues are chosen and procedures are adjusted in line with the relevant local and regulations and guidelines.

These have been exceptionally challenging times with very fast-moving updates. As we get closer to an event we look at each one individually, paying careful heed to local regulations, but without ignoring the international situation. Whatever happens, ACI will safeguard the investments that attendees have made by either automatically moving it to the new dates of the event or a full credit will be provided for use when booking a future ACI event.
