Smart Water Grid Technologies

Date: 4th November 2010 - 5th November 2010 Location: Chicago - Illinois - USA

Smart Water Grid Technologies

Capitalizing on the Intelligent Opportunities in Booming Water Markets Including; Water Mapping, Water Infrastructure, Water Quality Monitoring, Smart Meters and Smart Irrigation.

A two-day industry forum held in Chicago, Illinois highlighting the latest trends, best case studies, hands-on experiences, and innovative strategies in smart water grid technologies. Attendees will learn how to promote smart water use and increased water conservation while reducing operating expenses, how to collect information related to water delivery, water quality, and non-revenue water, and how to upgrading the water utility infrastructure to improve water management. They will learn how to create standards and collaboration for sensing and monitoring infrastructures for water resources, a common system for measurement, evaluation and reporting, and creating an effective IT management system that leverages the current infrastructure, filtration and treatment technologies to realize significant water savings.

Attendees will also learn how to capitalizing on the relationship between technology, data integration, and resource management by focusing on aging infrastructure, water quality, and metering how to gather and process information on water delivery to better manage their operations. They will learn how to utilize smart water meters to provide more accurate consumption data and new sensors that can track the level of pathogens or chemical contaminants, as well as utilizing sensor networks that can track water flow and quality, water meters that can give utilities and customers up-to-date information on water use and price, and complex “predictive” modeling to let water managers plan for the future. Finally they will learn how harnessed IT can be used to make water systems         safer and more sustainable

…behind everything from high-technology water pollution sensing to water footprint accounting – water grids could actually be the next big business concept, set to be a $16.3 billion dollar industry in the next 10 years
