Gasification 2019

Date: 13th March 2019 - 14th March 2019 Location: Brussels - Belgium

ACI’s 8th Gasification conference will be taking place on the 13th and 14th of March in Brussels, Belgium.

Gasification offers advantages over competing technologies in the processing of a variety of feedstocks into a diverse range of desirable products with more value and potential applications than the raw material itself. This product flexibility as well as the versatility and efficiency of gasification, make it an attractive technology now and for the future.

Many countries and enterprises are focusing extensive programs on performing the research, development, and demonstration  necessary to maximise the potential for gasification in the future.  ACI’s 8th Gasification conference will showcase the latest developments in the sector and provide key insights from senior executives in the industry to discuss the latest commercial and  technical developments, challenges and research breakthroughs throughout the entire gasification market.

Exclusive Site Visits:

  • BioTfueL, a project to produce biofuels via thermochemical conversion

A day prior to the conference, a limited number of conference delegates will have a unique opportunity to join an exclusive site visit to the BioTfueL project launched by Total and five partners in Dunkirk, France.

  • XYLOWATT’s  NOTAR® gasifier in  Mont-Godinne

At the end of day two (March 14th), we invite you to join our second tour, at the first belgian biomass gasification trigeneration unit, to discover the project implemented.

Since 2001, XYLOWATT designs, delivers and operates Biomass to Energy plants, converting natural and recycled woodchips into valuable and renewable energy.

XYLOWATT’s NOTAR® gasifier is the sole industrial reactor that produces clean syngas without any tar residues. Combined with cogeneration engines, our units supply our clients with renewable electricity, heat and cold.

  • Electricity covers local needs or can be sold on the electrical grid
  • Heat is available for a wide range of heating applications
  • Cold, produced from unused heat, is valuable for air-conditioning and cold rooms

NOTAR® power plants are designed following a circular economy model: covering the customer’s energy needs by valorising locally available biomass (natural and recycled woodchips). The production units are developed into a fully integrated ZERO WASTE process: all by-products are valorised onsite to supply additional heat.

XYLOWATT acts as the partner of its clients; delivering turnkey units with a power range from 750kWe to 3MWe.

XYLOWATT is active internationally on gasification projects, mostly in European countries and in Japan.
