Hyperthermics – The shortcut from waste to biogas
Hyperthermics develops and delivers compact biotechnological plants that convert organic waste into biogas, far faster than other solutions on the market.
This is possible because the core of our biotechnology which is heat-loving bio-organisms. Bacterias with origin from hot springs, volcanoes and oil wells.
These bacterias allow a working temperature in the plants of as much as 80⁰ C.
Our primary market is biogas producers who aim to increase the production capacity, without major developments.
We call it THE GREEN SHIFT REVOLUTION
Founded in 2000, APROVIS developed into an expert in exhaust & gas technologies. Due to our export share of more than 50%, our products are used successfully all worldwide. We are familiar with and consider the different market / customer requirements and implement these to meet specific international requirements.
Specialized in the engine based CHP business APROVIS provides expert knowledge in solutions for whole exhaust gas duct as well as gas treatment solutions from planning until start-up of your plant. Latest technical expertise and references at well-known customers ensure maximum reliability and benefit for your plant.
Solutions for biogas start with single gas heat exchanger and can end up in a plug-and-play FriCon gas cooling unit.
By cooling down the biogas below the dew point of the gas, water fraction is separated from the gas, preparing the gas for further processes.
Next to the gas cooling unit’s removal of harmful substances like sulphur and siloxanes is also a task which is handled by APROVIS products. The activated carbon filter ActiCo is designed to remove above mentioned harmful components reliable.
Looking at the exhaust gas duct of a biogas CHP APROVIS provides exhaust gas heat exchangers and/or exhaust gas steam boiler to recover the valuable exhaust energy. Furthermore exhaust silencers and if required catalytic converters ensure compliance with permission of plant.
If required, our engineers will also take care of our scope of supply after the commissioning of the plant.
APROVIS maintenance packages, which comprise inspection, preventive maintenance and recommendations for operation, are tailored to suit your individual needs.

In other words, together we are acting for a green future.
Richter ECOS, member of the Aitec Group, offers services towards suppliers and operators of industrial process plants and equipment. We offer planned repair and maintenance contracts, but also optimization and operational support. Our main focus is biogas and biomethane production plants but we also support natural gas, sewage and industrial wastewater plants.
Since 2015 we have provided a broad spectrum of services to around 100 biomethane plants in Germany and abroad. We are completely process independent and mostly supplier independent. We offer qualified technical services “from one hand” for most of the on-site equipment (such as air and ATEX blowers/compressors, pumps, cooling and pressurized air systems, off-gas treatments systems, control system and instrumentation) we also offer a continuous plant monitoring system and are implementing energy efficiency solutions.
Experience resulting from site or remote maintenance and monitoring of plants in operation is the basis for our consulting services and we offer support towards investment projects through all project stages from the first idea to operation.
Identifying and choosing the right solution, process, equipment and project partners but also considering individual legal, commercial and technical conditions is part of our daily work and contributes to the economical success of any project.
For example, biogas produced from industrial wastewater, sludge or waste can be used very flexible in order to substitute other energy sources. Production of electricity and heat, of biomethane and its feed into the public gas network, the use as biofuel in the form of Bio-CNG or Bio-LNG or even combined production of compressed air and heat are some alternatives. Which of those come seriously into consideration and which are the most attractive, depends on individual conditions.
Scandinavian Biogas is a leading player in largescale biogas production and is one of the biggest producers in the Nordic region. With key expertise in operation of biogas facilities the company works to ensure an increased use of biogas in the energy mix. In December 2020 the company went public on Nasdaq with ambition to expand its operation and is actively working with new customers, markets, projects and business opportunities.
The main product is upgraded biogas provided to customers as compressed biogas (CBG) and liquid biogas (LBG) which is utilised today to power light vehicles, buses, trucks, ferries and industrial applications. The current production capacity is 500 GWh at group level which is aimed to increase to 700GWh in the coming years with focus on LBG.
Nordsol works with biogas producers from a variety of sectors to develop new projects for small-scale, decentralized production of bio-LNG (liquefied biomethane). Our bio-LNG solution increases the valuation of biogas. With this solution, biogas is upgraded to the next level of decarbonization, supporting a more environmentally friendly form of LNG along with a reduction of our carbon footprint.
The Nordsol bio-LNG installation in Amsterdam will produce 3,4 kton bio-LNG per year starting in the summer of 2021. Biogas from Renewi is upgraded to ultra-pure biomethane and then liquefied to bio-LNG which Shell will offtake. In addition, the installation will capture the CO2 from the biogas and liquefy this for use in greenhouse horticulture.
Nordsol has largely reinvented LNG technology to come up with a blueprint for small-scale, decentralized production of bio-LNG that is robust and financially viable. This technology, called iLNG, is applied in our own installation in Amsterdam as well as in those of our clients. In addition, our clients can also take advantage of Nordsol’s bio-LNG market expertise to organize the full value chain from biogas to bio-LNG offtake.
Ecomondo is one of the most informed and comprehensive expos in Europe for the technological and industrial innovation in the circular economy sectors. It is organized by Italian Exhibition Group Spa, leader in the organization of trade fairs and conferences at European level. The event is held in Rimini Expo Centre, Italy, from 26 to 29 October 2021.
