TITV is a non-profit, industrial-oriented research organization and is engaged in the development of special textiles and flexible materials. The focuses of research are mainly in the topics textile microsystems/smart textiles, surface functionalization and flexible materials. Doing so TITV focuses on application-oriented research and supports collaborative research projects of companies by developing new innovative products. In addition to the research and development work TITV offers consultations, qualifications, testing services and a small series production, prototype manufacturing or unique textiles.

TITV is a research organisation and in the role of RTD. Within funded projects and direct collaborations with companies they develop new materials, processes and complete systems for the functionalization of fibres/yarns, modify or develop their integration and interconnection processes in textiles and test fibres and fabrics on their textile and electrical behaviour and limits. The main use of TITVs developments and products is in the e-Textiles market.
