Frank Aaskov, Director, Energy and Climate Change Policy, UK Steel
Frank leads UK Steel’s policy and advocacy work on energy and climate change, with a particular focus on UK energy pricing and supply, energy efficiency, climate policy, and decarbonisation. He is the author of the Net Zero Steel Production report, which outlined how the industry could decarbonise by 2035, and the annual reports on industrial electricity prices and their impact on the steel industry.
Prior to joining UK Steel, Frank headed up Make UK’s energy policy and has previously worked at the Renewable Energy Association. Frank studied Political Science at Aarhus University and has an MA in Environment, Politics & Globalisation from King’s College London.
