Founded in 1992 BIOTEC has walked through a pioneering path for developing sustainable and smart solutions when it comes to the preservation of goods, may it be with flexible or rigid packaging. BIOTEC’s standards of quality stood out for its reliable appeal and certifications inclusion. The facilitation of processing techniques with sophisticated end-of-life solutions allows BIOTEC’s customers to integrate themselves in a prosperous and environmentally-friendly course with comfort. BIOTEC distinguishes itself from others by grounding its foundation in the reflection of nature and its circular proclivities. This reproduction is possible due to the expertise achieved throughout almost thirty years of experience, for the compounding of materials based on non-genetically modified and free of plasticizers. Moreover, by committing to utilizing one of the most resource-abundant crops in the world, BIOTEC propelled the advancement of starch-based technologies. The development of biodegradable and compostable materials favors the nourishing reaction against global warming and pollution. Furthermore, the swelling conditions of waste separation and recycling are mitigated with the implementation of clear and known classifications.

Total Corbion PLA is a global technology leader in Poly Lactic Acid (PLA) and lactide monomers. PLA is a biobased and biodegradable polymer made from annually renewable resources, offering a reduced carbon footprint versus many traditional plastics. The Luminy® PLA portfolio, which includes both high heat and standard PLA grades, is an innovative material that is used in a wide range of markets from packaging to consumer goods, fibers and automotive. Total Corbion PLA, headquartered in the Netherlands, operates a 75,000 tons per year PLA production facility in Rayong, Thailand. The company is a 50/50 joint venture between Total and Corbion.

Avantium is an innovation-driven pioneer in the emerging industry of renewable and sustainable chemistry. We offer unique technological solutions to address the global need to reduce plastic waste, tackle climate change and transition into a circular, sustainable bio-based economy. We develop and commercialise innovative chemistry technologies for the production of chemicals and materials based on renewable feedstock instead of fossil resources for a wide range of consumer goods such as plastics and textiles. Our two lead products are FDCA and Ray plantMEG™. Together, they enable the production of the plastic PEF: a novel, plant-based and fully recyclable plastic material with a powerful combination of environmental and performance features and with a wide range of applications – packaging, textiles, film, and many more.

Ray plantMEG™ is not only an important chemical building block for PEF, but Ray plantMEG™, along with PTA, can also produce bio-PET, creating great potential for existing PET markets. Fossil-based MEG, used to produce conventional PET, is a core component for everyday products such as plastic bottles, packaging, clothing, and furniture. With consumers making more environmentally conscious choices, the use of Ray plantMEG™ will provide brands with a sustainable, recyclable, and innovative alternative.

We believe in a fossil-free world. Let’s go!

At the event we strive not only to bring you to the same location at the same time as your customers/suppliers/peers, we strive to ensure you meet face-to-face with each and every one of your target contacts and to provide you with the time you need to have multiple unhurried conversations with them and build a lasting business relationship:

  • A pre-event informal introduction the evening before the conference
  • A minimum of five hours’ networking built into the two day conference agenda
  • A networking grid which enables you to make your target contacts aware you are looking for them
  • The option to join either social drinks or dinner during the evening of Day One
  • ACI’s on-site team will assist you in locating your hard-to-find target contacts & make face-to-face introductions

Of course, if there is anybody you are unable to meet over the two days, ACI’s event team will do their best to initiate contact after the event.

ACI is doing everything to ensure that all its events go ahead as advertised, returning to the much-missed and valuable face-to-face interaction as soon as possible.  In order to ensure the events are delivered as safely as possible, venues are chosen and procedures are adjusted in line with the relevant local and regulations and guidelines.

These have been exceptionally challenging times with very fast-moving updates. As we get closer to an event we look at each one individually, paying careful heed to local regulations, but without ignoring the international situation. Whatever happens, ACI will safeguard the investments that attendees have made by either automatically moving it to the new dates of the event or a full credit will be provided for use when booking a future ACI event.
