Battery Recycling Europe

Date: 28th February 2024 - 29th February 2024 Location: London - UK

Following 3 successful editions, ACI is delighted to announce the 4th Battery Recycling Europe Summit, taking place in London, UK, on the 28th & 29th February 2024.

The European battery recycling market is experiencing significant growth driven by the increasing demand for battery-powered devices and electric vehicles. Strict regulations and policies, such as the EU Battery Directive, have been implemented to ensure the safe and environmentally responsible management of end-of-life batteries, fostering a robust recycling infrastructure and promoting the circular economy within the region.

On the 28th & 29th February 2024, the two-day event is dedicated to advancing the knowledge and collaboration in the field of battery recycling within Europe. Our conference brings together industry leaders, researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders from across the battery recycling ecosystem to exchange insights, discuss emerging trends, and explore innovative solutions for a sustainable future.

EBRA is a European professional organisation defending the interests of companies involved with collecting, sorting, recycling, and repurposing or reusing all kinds of batteries (portable, consumer, industrial; all chemistries except for lead-acid but including Li-Ion, e-mobility, and stationary batteries).

Our mission is to develop the highest standards of professionalism in the battery recycling industry by promoting best practice in health, safety and environment and by preserving natural resources while respecting the European regulatory framework.

EERA is the voice of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) recovery facilities in Europe, being the professional association for the WEEE re-use, recycling and re-processing industry. Our vision is for a resource efficient economy where WEEE (whole equipment and materials derived from WEEE treatment operations) is managed as a valuable resource and which is returned into the European market as equipment prepared for re-use or as secondary materials.

A full recycling economy with market actors cooperating along the value chain, better collection processes, high quality recycling, appropriate regulatory framework, eradication of illegal practices and product design integrating a life-cycle approach is what EERA envisages.

GLOBAL RECYCLING is an English-speaking magazine which is dedicated to business opportunities and international markets in the recycling industry because recycling will become increasingly more important all over the world. Due to that the publishing house places an enormous value on displaying as well as distributing the magazine at numerous international fairs and congresses, such as the trade fair IFAT in Munich, the green technologies expo Ecomondo in Italy or the leading recycling and water as well as energy waste management event RWM in the UK.

Recycling International is the leading provider of recycling-related information and an invaluable trade publication for the global recycling industry. The publication reaches highly-qualified decision-makers who have control over many or all aspects of company/ organisation budgets, including owners, managers and other professionals. Since its inception in the 1990’s, it has gained a strong following and is read by an estimated 33 000 recycling professionals active across 6500 companies in more than 120 countries.

For more than 75 years, RECYCLING magazine has reported independently on the latest economic, political and technical developments in the recycling and waste management industry. Its benchmark is high-quality journalism with all the varying facets of cutting-edge news coverage.

RECYCLING magazine is itself an integral part of the circular economy and therefore a member of the BDE (German waste management, water and raw materials industry association), the BDSV (federal association of German steel recycling and waste management companies), the Bureau of International Recycling (BIR), the BNW (the German federal association of green economy), the bvse (federal association for secondary raw materials and waste disposal), the European Recycling Industries’ Confederation (EuRIC) and the VDM (association of German metal traders).

Our mission at Energy Central is to help global power industry professionals work better. Our Power Industry Network™ platform is built to help our members connect with each other, share their knowledge & experience and advance their careers in the industry.
