The European Association for Storage of Energy (EASE) is the voice of the energy storage community, actively promoting the use of energy storage in Europe and worldwide.

EASE actively supports the deployment of energy storage as an indispensable instrument to improve the flexibility of and deliver services to the energy system with respect to European energy and climate policy. EASE seeks to build a European platform for sharing and disseminating energy storage-related information. EASE ultimately aims to support the transition towards a sustainable, flexible and stable energy system in Europe.

Batteries and Energy Storage Business Association (AEPIBAL) appears due to the interest of the Spanish industry to actively promote the use of batteries and energy storage systems within Spain. We believe that energy storage is an integral part of the planning and deployment of every system.
Our association aims to collect all the companies that are interested in energy storage as active members and collaborators.

AEPIBAL accounts with the recognition of the Spanish Ministry of Industry as the first and only nation-wide association covering the whole application spectrum of the energy storage industry, from portable to large scale batteries. Most importantly, AEPIBAL aims to represent the common interests of the entire battery sector value chain, from manufacturers and distributors to integrators, technicians and recycling entities. It already counts with 42 members including large enterprises, SME’s, innovation hubs and non-profit organizations.

Therefore AEPIBAL is currently the only Spanish association supporting the battery industry.

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) contribute up to 45 percent of total employment and up to 33 percent of national income (GDP) in emerging economies. But SMEs face unique challenges: three out of five businesses fail within the first few months of operation. Causes to the failure include limited market access, limited access to information, finances and technology and unfavorable policy and regulatory environment.

uRecycle® which has more than ten years’ experience in recycling of batteries and accumulators is a group of companies focusing on battery recycling and recycling technology development. Our operational experience is mainly in Scandinavia, where we are already the largest portable battery recycler, and the UK, but we also have local partners in many Northern European Countries.

In the UK, uRecycle® is taking very seriously the governmental demand to end the sale of conventionally fuelled cars by 2040 and, therefore, all of the automotive manufacturers are expanding their Hybrid and Electric fleets to ensure this target is hit.

uRecycle® already work with a number of OEMs to provide them with a complete EV battery service which includes a client web-based uTrack portal, battery collections, ADR-compliant packaging solutions, transport, permit compliance and approval, pre-treatment, discharging where required, disassembly to recover cells, battery and all other materials for recycling, full reporting for customers and authorities according to current EU Legislation and, most importantly, the provision of guidance for safe handling of lithium based batteries.

The uTrack portal makes the recycling process traceable. It means real-time monitoring and secure management of property, risk assessment and safe packaging and transportation according to ADR requirements.

Our responsibility and strict compliance with regulations ensures environmental safety and the safety and security of all those involved in handling waste batteries at every step of the process.
