Brunilde Castano of Quaker Houghton Wins Women in Focus 2024 Inspirational Leader Award

ACI is delighted to announce Brunilde Castano, Sr. Manager “Center of Innovation” Research & Development at Quaker Houghton, as the winner of our Women in Focus 2024 Inspirational Leader Award.

Brunilde currently manages 3 employees and the research and development of several product lines as lab manager of “Center of Innovation” COI EMEA. Additionally she carries out technical meetings with customers and industrial trials for those product lines.  She is also actively involved with developing women leaders, is a member of the sustainability pillar, “Innovating Together for a Better Tomorrow” leading the CMR team. Her core values are, “Do great things together” and “Embrace diversity”.

In 2022 Quaker Houghton was in the process of merging the two companies.  During the merger, consolidation of production locations, labs and office space was one of the priorities of the new organization. Due to the major workload on the operations group, Brunilde stepped forward and organized and executed the entire process of finding a new lab location, including handling leasing and permits, securing contractors, finding movers and all other necessary tasks to relocate her team in a new lab location.

Such leadership is truly inspirational to others and not limited to those working directly with Brunilde in her team and company.
