We are pleased to announce that senior representatives from Eversheds Sutherland LLP will give a joint presentation at FSQ Europe 2020 taking place on 29th & 30th January in London, UK. 

As the costs associated with public health continue to rise there will be increased pressure to make up these costs by other means than taxation, including state litigation against manufacturers.
Ron’s and Paul’s presentation will be looking at how past litigation on public health consequences of opioid and tobacco can provide an instructive guide to similar cases involving processed foods and the growing risk for certain manufacturers.
They will review several cases of judgments against opioid producers that demonstrate the potential economic impact on companies and convey how organizations can keep abreast of risks of potential litigation.
