Assessing the Potential of E-Fuels for the Maritime Industry
ACI is pleased to announce thatMaria Grahn, Director of Energy at Chalmers University of Technologywill join us as speaker during our European E-Fuels Conference taking place in Munich, Germany on 6th & 7th of November 2019.
Maria will speak at the conference presentation entitled: “Assessing the Potential of E-Fuels for the Maritime Industry“
Maria Grahn’s research and teaching aims to provide long-term and global perspectives on future renewable fuels for transport. Among other research tools, Maria uses the global energy transition (GET) model to generate scenarios of the cost-effective future fuel mix for different transport modes. The model can be used to provide insights regarding the role of different fuels and vehicle/ship technology options. Currently, she has a specific interest in the potential role of e-fuels (electrofuels produced from carbon dioxide and water with electricity as the main energy source) trying to understand under what circumstances e-fuels can be cost-competitive to other transportation fuel options.
