Pankaj Desai, Lincensing Sales Manager, Shell Global Solutions
Pankaj Desai has 39 years of professional experience with refining and petrochemical process technologies, catalysts, reactor internals and other proprietary hardware (e.g., cyclones, and particulate emissions controls) and software such as process technology models. Since 2007 Pankaj is the lead business development licensing sales manager and commercialization leader for Shell’s technologies (e.g., hydroprocessing, catalytic cracking, distillation, thermal conversion, gas treating), liaising with Shell technology leaders/focal points and third-party/oil industry executives, refinery managers, process managers, capital project directorates, etc. Prior to joining Shell, Pankaj held various positions in R&D, marketing, sales, technical services, business development and licensing at Akzo Nobel and Albemarle Catalyst Company from 1980 to 2007. Pankaj has a B. Tech. degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (I.I.T.) Kanpur, and a Masters and Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston.
