W. Michael Alberts, MD, MBA is Professor of Oncology and Medicine in the Department of Interdisciplinary Oncology at the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida. He is the Chief Medical Officer at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute. Dr. Alberts received his MD from the University of Illinois. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the Ohio State University and a fellowship program in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of California at San Diego. Dr. Alberts earned an MBA degree from the University of South Florida. Dr. Alberts is a Past-President of the American College of Chest Physicians. Dr. Alberts’ research and scholarly interests include the diagnosis and management of lung cancer and the business of medicine.
