Matthew Rowe, the Assistant Director of the Water and Science Administration department in Maryland Department of the Environment joins the speaker lineup.
Mr Rowe shall take part the opening session of day two: “State of Maryland Case study: Innovative Reuse of Dredging Materials” toeghether with Kristen Fidler, the Chief Of Outreach, Policy & Permits Harbor Development, from Maryland Port Administration and Isaac Hametz, Research Director from Mahan Rykiel Associates.
Mr Rowe ensures that environmental assessments are carried out for specific projects, including Port dredging and dredge material disposal activity, oversees and directs over 300 staff in implementing the federal Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, wetlands protection, stormwater/sediment and erosion control, wastewater treatment and reuse, public health protections for beaches, fish and shellfish harvesting, Innovative and Beneficial Reuse of Dredged Material, and Climate Change adaptation and response.
