Jenny Wassenaar, Compliance & Sustainability Director – Avery Dennison

Jenny Wassenaar is Compliance & Sustainability Director for Avery Dennison in Europe. Avery Dennison is a label manufacturer with a worldwide footprint and a turnover of more than 6 bil. USD. They operate in more than 60 countries and have a workforce of about 24000 people. In 2006 Jenny graduated from the University of Twente, the Netherlands as Industrial Engineer and Psychologist. 5 years ago Jenny joined Avery Dennison as purchasing professional after a career in the chemicals industry. Initially she was responsible for the purchases of filmic face materials later she joined the marketing team as business unit director. Due to a personal passion for sustainability she joint the Compliance & Sustainability team recently. In this new role Jenny focuses on the 2025 sustainability goals that were developed in Avery Dennison, on waste reduction, new sustainable and compliant materials developments and greenhouse gas reductions.
