Singapore: ASEAN Pharma Packaging Conference, APPCON 2017, was concluded in Singapore on 16th and 17th March 2017, with a focus on highlighting different avenues and challenges of packaging industry of pharmaceutical industry.
Dr Xu LI from Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE), A*STAR, Singapore presented on Advanced Polymer Composites Packaging. He mentioned that advanced polymer composites packaging keep the pharmaceutical products free from contamination, humidity, UV. The solution hinders microbial growth and ensure product safety through the intended shelf life.
“Right packaging is very important and it reduces energy consumption for storage and hence reduced carbon emission,” Dr. Xu LI said.
