Brian Harman Wins 2017 Wells Fargo Championship

World #1 ranked Dustin Johnson came to Wilmington, NC looking for his 4th win in a row on the PGA Tour.  When he walked off the 18th green on Sunday, no one would fault him in thinking he was ready to claim it.  That is, until, Brian Harman stepped to the tee on the 17th hole.

Harman, an 8-year tour veteran who had not won an event in almost 3 years, posted back-to-back birdies on the 71st and 72nd holes of the 2017 Wells Fargo Championship, draining a 28-foot birdie putt on the last to claim the victory and deny DJ of reaching the rare air of posting 4 consecutive PGA Tour wins.  Even though the annual tournament moved from its typical home in Charlotte to the North Carolina ocean shores at Eagle Point Golf Club, this fan-favorite event once again did not disappoint, as Harman provided one of the most thrilling finishes of the season up to this point.  Pat Perez tied Dustin Johnson for 2nd with Spaniard and rookie sensation Jon Rahm finishing 2 strokes back.
