EFINOR Group provides specific solutions for Nuclear Power Plant Life Management and Extension such as a Multiple-Elements Mechanical Plug which has been developed through an innovative process between EFINOR and a utility partner. It is aimed to seal or to bypass fluid in order to perform pressure tests without any structure alteration. This solution has been successfully implemented to shorten key aspect of the maintenance programme of several NPPs. EFINOR is also providing solutions to repair or strengthen key NPPs components and structures supporting life extension and maintaining plants in Operational Condition.

EFINOR Group fosters innovations and invests in design capability and production facilities since 1988. Successful execution of this strategy positioned the Group as a leading partner of large organisations involved in high added-value industries with Nuclear being our initial and still core market. With more than 500 employees and €50 million turnover, EFINOR Group companies are located in France and UK.

Through the combination of our 3 business units: Engineering – Manufacturing – and Support, we are involved in our clients’ Full Project Lifecycle. Specialised in metal working and developing bespoke equipment and solutions for our customers, in the recent years we have been collaborating with Utilities on Nuclear Power Plant Life Management and Extension projects.

Nuclear Engineering International is an in-depth technical magazine for the worldwide civil nuclear industry. The magazine offers news, opinion, market reviews, and articles on the front-end fuel cycle, through to operations, maintenance, NDE, ALARA, to Fukushima, decommissioning and radwaste, all at a technical level that is robust whilst remaining accessible to interested industry professionals in all fields.

Original nuclear industry reports are also published: quarterly nuclear electricity generation statistics for the entire world (‘load factors league tables’) and a tabular overview of the installed nuclear fleet in the World Nuclear Industry Handbook, a single volume reference guide that also includes a buyer’s guide, articles and industry contacts. Another highlight is the September fuel issue, with comprehensive fuel market review and fuel data tables.

Since its first issue in 1956, Nuclear Engineering International has been an independent voice in the nuclear industry that goes beyond the news headlines to explain new developments and market trends in technical detail.

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) contribute up to 45 percent of total employment and up to 33 percent of national income (GDP) in emerging economies*.

The same study suggests there are between 365-445 million micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in emerging markets.

But SMEs face unique challenges, which affect their growth and profitability and hence, diminish their ability to contribute effectively to sustainable development. Despite the big role SMEs play in the economy past statistics indicate that three out of five businesses fail within the first few months of operation. Causes to the failure include limited market access, limited access to information, finances and technology and unfavourable policy and regulatory environment among others**.

Nuclear Business News, “NßN”, based in Fribourg, Switzerland, fills this gap: For more information visit: https://nbn.media/

Elektrownia-jadrowa.pl is a professional web portal, under the patronage of the Ministry of Economy and the National Center for Nuclear Research (Narodowe Centrum Badań Jądrowych) dedicated to the project of construction of nuclear power plant in Poland. Elektrownia-jadrowa.pl was launched in February 2010. It is an independent project whose role is to follow the progress of the construction the first NPP in Poland. The main goals of the portal concern not only informing about the progress of the investment works, legislation or political decisions taken within its frames but also establishing a sort of a platform consisting of institutions and companies taking interest in the venture.  Among the partners of the portal there are: CEZ, AREVA, NCBJ, ProAtom and others.

One of the advantages is its educational value. Dedicated sections not only present the knowledge on nuclear energy, nuclear power plants around the world but also current technologies, safety issues and environmental impact.
