Exclusive site visit to Reykjavik Energy’s Hellisheidi Geothermal Power Plant
On Tuesday 18th September 2012 we will be holding a site visit to the Hellisheidi geothermal power plant. Spaces are limited to 30 and will be on a first come first serve basis. Register now to secure your space on our visit to the largest geothermal power station in the world!
Site Visit Schedule
12:45 – Depart Grand Hotel Reykjavik
13:30 – Arrive at Hellisheidi Power Station and make our way into the exhibition hall for a welcome presentation from Þorvaldur Sigurðsson, Managing Director, Orkuveita Reykjavikur and a look at the exhibition.
14:30 - Tour of the facilities begins at the main hall including the 4x45MW Mitsubishi Turbines & Generators:
15:00 – Move onto the District Heating Unit
15:30 - View a borehole blowing
16:15 – Refreshments & Networking
16:45 – Depart Hellisheidi Power Station
17:30 – Arrive Grand Hotel Reykjavik
