Interactive Debate on Market Opportunities, Trading Strategies and Bioenergy Policy Clarifications

ACI’s 3rd Annual Bioenergy Commodity Trading will comprise two days of formal presentations, interactive panel discussions and excellent networking opportunities, providing an open and intimate setting for senior executives and experts. This year event will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 1-2 April 2014.  This is the ideal setting to convene with your peers to discuss the regulations and policies regarding the Bioenergy Commodity Trading, bioenergy supply chain, focusing   on    national biomass subsidy schemes, sustainability & certification issues as well as assessing the business risk for the future.

Co-Located Event

Bioenergy Commodity Trading 2014 will be co-located with Biomass to Power 2014. Whilst at the Bioenergy Commodity Trading 2014 you will be able to switch between conferences and attend sessions at both events. This is a great opportunity to maximise your contact base across industries and hear from leading professionals within the biomass to power industry.

Exclusive Site Visit

We have the exciting opportunity to visit DONG Energy’s Avedøre Power Station during the afternoon of Monday 31st March 2014 as part of the event.  Only a limited number of the conference attendees will have this opportunity.  The multi-fuel Avedøre Power Station on the outskirts of Copenhagen ranks among the best in the world, utilising up to 94% of the energy in the fuels.  The total capacity of the power station’s two units are approximately 793 MW electricity and 826 MJ/s heat. Avedøre Power Station supplies 200,000 households with heat and generates about 30 % of the electricity consumption on Zealand, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of around 1.3 million households.  By simultaneously generating heat and power the power station reaches record-high fuel efficiencies of up to 94%. The higher the fuel efficiency, the less fuel is needed per kWh generated, and the less CO2 is emitted per kWh.
